Faith - Poem by Nicholas McKimmy

Whether it’s Heaven or Earth
Even if you’re dead, or it’s a rebirth
I still love you, no matter what
The doors you walked through never shut
You left them open for me, so I can the world as it really is
Settle down with a wife, and then have a few kids
Your didn’t live your life for no reason
You helped me reach God, and gave me something to believe in
I prayed that you would be in the right place
You motivated me to see my dreams and chase
After them, because that’s what you would’ve wanted
You were laying in the hospital bed, but you still fought it
Maybe it got the best of you, but you gave the best to me
And when I reach my goals, I know you will be looking down to see.
