Feel proud of yourself as you read my book
feel proud of me for writing those poems in a book for you;
feel proud that you are my friend in words
feel proud your eyes can read what I wrote;
feel proud we share this earth for a while
feel proud that this planet belongs to us just once in life.

Feel proud for the talent I have and hold
feel proud for the talent of readership you behold;
feel proud that you can feel my pain
feel proud that you can hear me in the rain
feel proud you have been the echo if I was the thunder
feel proud of the poems that will sparkle like lightening.

Feel proud for the thoughts I share with you
feel proud as you re-read and reflect my hopes;
feel proud I expressed all what I felt through my life
feel proud you walked with me through the aisle of my time;
feel proud this journey of literature we traveled together
feel proud we will walk these few miles of life in wonder.

Feel proud of yourself for reading what I felt
feel proud I expressed what I wanted to tell and disclose;
feel proud tomorrow may not be here forever
feel proud today is the time to turn a new page;
feel proud to be a friend of the rich and the poor
feel proud you can make the poorer feel richer always;
feel proud you can make yourself richer as you read more
feel proud that the book is yours though the poems are all mine.
