First Love Poem by Sumit Ganguly

First Love

Rating: 4.7

I saw a smiling sunflower
swaying in pink air
I smiled back at the happy face
will she reciprocate the stare?

My mirror-calm lake of the morning
learned to dance later on,
who made the ripples and big waves?
South wind silently glided thereon!

On the canvas of a serene nature
she puts brush stroke of pink colour.
I'm charmed by the smell of rose
and dazzled by the mood of flower.

South wind is a seasonal fairy,
flowers and essence are volatile
youth and sweet hearts follow them,
first love- glass vase, beautiful, fragile.

O my life, store moving scenes,
keep them safe in a vault
when yellow autumn reigns in full
taste all with sugar or salt.

You work magic when creating a collage of different shades of nature. Thanks, Sumit. I quote: On the canvas of a serene nature / she puts brush stroke of pink colour. South wind is a seasonal fairy O my life, store moving scenes / keep them safe in a vault

Nice poem with an eye-catching beginning and end; middle part needs some more chiselling; congrats on being poet of the day!

A smiling sunflower and an yellow autumn both imply the richness and beauty of nature. Attuning with nature is the emotion of love. A very sweet poem! Congratulations!
