Footprints On Sand -In Top 500

Rating: 4.9

I have put my eyes to rest
Towards my love
The guts of my soul does reel

Traversed have I
Deserts of solitude,
Oasis of honey my embrace.

Drunk have I,
The wine of your love
The Garden of Eden’s Paradise.

From Kama of love,
to the stories untold
The footprints on sand doth tell
Your undying love for me.
I wait to be locked in those
Chains of love,
And lose the keys
to your sublime kiss.

In the core of my heart,
A whisper I heard,
Oh “jelly” its you I love.
And when I peer into that
Lens of Anton Von Leewenhoek
Its you alone that I see.

I’ll wait for that day,
When that crown of love
Thou shalt place on my head.
For to be known the chosen one,
Amongst the hundreds
that also ran.
For fate brought us together,
Hope never to push us away.

some sweet words from Hanque O From: Hanque O (United States ;) To: Anjali Sinha Date Time: 5/15/2009 3: 11: 00 AM (GMT -6: 00) Subject: Footprints on Sand Anjali, A very romantic poem. At first I thought you were speaking metaphorically, of God's love, but then the line 'And lose the keys//to your sublime kiss' made it clear you were back on the planet with the rest of us. I'm curious. Did you mean to write Kama, or Karma? If Kama, what significance does that hold? yours, hanque

Enjoyed reading this poem - so full of joy and pleasantness, hope and fulfilment. I like the usual chosen metaphors and also your unusual ones (Oh “jelly” its you I love. And when I peer into that Lens of Anton Von Leewenhoek) .
