Free-Fall Poem by Laquory Jones

Free-Fall

Rating: 5.0

2x
Free-falling free-falling free-falling
Free-falling free-falling free-falling
Free-falling free-falling free-falling

Verse 1
I'm just gonna go out and to be honest
I quit my job lately I've been feeling lost
All these hours spent and what for
Honestly I'm exhausted waking up daily
Feeling nauseous Richie you better
Proceed with caution
So many things weighing heavily on the
Suit suit of armors that I garnished
But inside I'm feeling tarnished
And feeling tainted inside
Full of anguish
Just trying to get distinguished
Just trying to feel a bit of accomplished
Trying every way to relinquish any
Pain and regret
As I vanquish and exorcise these burdens
Weighing heavily upon my soul

Verse 2
While free-falling not knowing where to
Land or where would I end up
Anxiety levels are getting sent up
Meanwhile rage slowly being pent up
I have to move on & got to get up
That's what I tell myself as I reflect
Trying to strengthen my own intellect
Just more pressure that I pin onto myself
One opportunity & one shot
Is all that I got
I mean have I'm just trying to make it last
What you do today will be part of your past

Verse 3
Just the weight of the world upon my
Shoulders go ahead let these burdens
Mold you as you're older you never know
Just how far that they can take you
Don't let the negative eradicate
I know my mind's intricate
With thoughts just as delicate
Topics can become quite sensitive
When you're going up against the
Syndicates with pronouns and predicates
Verbally bombarding their establishments

Now that's not poetic etiquette
But I know my poems are highly
Magnificent to tell me they're not good
Enough is highly inaccurate
Not adequate now that's
Ridiculous and just plain
Blasphemous and I'm not having it
Meanwhile I'm unraveling with my dissent
Pin my poems go ahead give them a listen
As I continue my rapid descent
I will not rescind
Just give me a pen and a napkin
While I continue my free-falling

2x
Free-falling free-falling free-falling
Free falling free-falling free-falling
Free-falling free-falling free-falling
