Ghost Poem by Dave Alan Walker

Ghost

Rating: 4.8

As I wake up
And adjust my eyes
From deep sleep
To daylight
I see a ghost
In front of me

I say
Am I dead
Am I alive

He says
Your alive
But when your asleep
You are just like me
Moving around in a world
you can't feel

Thats why
I come and watch you sleep
So I can feel close
To what you see

That's a good poem, easy to understand, and make the reader think more.

is true when we become insensitive and do not feel the thing around us...even the reality that many suffers because of us....then we are ghost....

Beautiful writing on sleep in a context I've never considered before, even though when I was eight I woke and saw a young boy watching me, around the time my nan passed over.., food for thought indeed. Karen

Astral projection. Visitation. I love the idea of the conscious mind transcending the physical body, either through death or meditation. For me this poem is potent in atmosphere.

Exactly, a man is like a dead when he is asleep. As per indian myth, the soul wonders when we are asleep.

Your poem is very nice.Ghost is your altar ego.We the Indian Hindus too believe that when we sleep our soul roams.
