Gilding The Lily Poem by Practicing Poetess

Gilding The Lily

Rating: 5.0

You may prime your skin,
Put on your makeup,
Making yourself ready for him.
But the gilding touch
Is your glowing smile,
And the light in your eyes shining from within.

As you brush your hair
Spray some perfume there,
And put on your best jewelry
More than what you wear
Show him that you care
And your truest self he'll see.
