God, Do You Care Only For The Rich Children? Poem by Dr. Antony Theodore

God, Do You Care Only For The Rich Children?

Rating: 5.0

God Almighty,
Will you listen
to my prayers.

Or is it true
that you listen
only to the prayers
of the rich children.

How I dream of safety.
How much I long for
a little bit of love.

I need water to drink.
I need a little bit to eat.

God will you give me
before I die on the road.

Yes, all that you say in your poem is depicted so clear on the face of the little girl in the picture. God has a larger picture that we mortals can't see, but it is our duty to do something we have in our hand. The world is adding to its GDP every year, but still the inequalities are on the rise. A lovely piece.

God is all knowing and all powerful. Yet, a question arises why the distinction? The rich enjoy, while the poor suffer. I am sure there is an answer, which we, as humans, are unable to comprehend. A pertinent question and a heart rending picture..

God cares for all rich and poor children and he never does partiality. God is greatest father of all. You have brilliantly penned this poem.
