Goodbye, Former Friend
Goodbye, my former friend;
I fear this is the end.
I thought if you were wise,
you would apologize.
It's such a simple thing,
and doesn't hardly sting.
But too much time has passed,
so you can kiss my
friendship goodbye.

It can take me along time too, to finally see the truth. I think many can relate to this...
Sometimes I wonder why relationships are so ephemeral but then isn't life itself so transient? Sad reality!

Sorry that you have to go through this, Belle. I too have lost some friends for no apparent justifiable reason. That's when it hurts the most! Excellent poem!
