Great Weather Today.... Poem by Sylvia Frances Chan

Great Weather Today....

Rating: 5.0

Great Weather Today….

is there nothing else to say
except about the weather?

Especially about the Dutch weather that changes every minute

yet there is
something ugly and horrible in it
also to trace beauty

beauty in ugliness

WOW! what a title
how is that
beauty in ugliness?

just think for a moment
just imagine
we are told different definitions

because there are thirty of us

indeed, thirty different visions of beauty

maybe the real beautiful woman
doesn't find much beauty in her mind

if you are very beautiful yourself

you have little choice about beauty

because then she sees herself all the time
as the benchmark

other subject please

COMMENTS OF THE POEM
Terry Craddock 22 September 2020

the weather is supposed to be a safe conversational subject, unless a storm or terrible dangerous weather is coming brewing on distant horizons, hoping for course changes dissipating strength a better forecast, not an eye of storm double hit bullseye level disaster

Dutch weather changes at each moment. But you have perceived each change and today's beautiful weather. The little choice about beauty is explored with minute observation. An amazing poem is well penned. Full 5 stars!

My response for Deluke: Nothng to be sorry about, Deluke, the DUTCH weather IS like that. Too sad, BUT of course we have sparkling summers and loveliest springs, and autumn, is a season most favourite by poets here. Dutch Autumn is truly different than the theory about Autumn. OK Deluke, thank you for your response and thinking with me in my poem
