Heart And Soul Of Humankind Poem by Jim McGill

Heart And Soul Of Humankind

This poem was originally deactivated by P.H. I was sincerely unable to see the reason why, unless we are not allowed ‘to swing our butts' on Poem Hunter. I see nothing wrong with ‘swinging your butt' if you feel the rhythm, or perhaps it is the mention of horses in a race. So, I changed the word ‘Horses' to ‘Cars'. It still got deactivated. So, I put ‘horses' back in and made some other minor changes, then republished it. If it gets deactivated again, can someone tell me why. What is objectionable about this poem? Where have I sinned?

Heart and Soul of Humankind

Wit wisdom, rhythm rhyme
Is the spirit of the human mind

Wit sparks laughter in most of us
Laughter that can hurt or heal,
Cut or cure, boost or bust
Brings joy or sorrow that is real

Wisdom refines what we know
Horses run only one way in any race
Cross the track, you don't walk slow
And—look both ways just in case

In rhythm we find the body's beat
Fling your arms, swing that butt,
Groove the feet and feel it's heat
You get to strut or stretch somewhat

Rhyme are sounds that eco the same
Sounds that slap or snap, sear or tear
Reprove or soothe, inflame or tame
They harmonize the pulse we hear

Wit wisdom, rhythm rhyme
Heart and soul of humankind
