Highly Polished And Gleeming Gloss Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Highly Polished And Gleeming Gloss

The use of highly polished and gleeming gloss,
Buffed over defections to keep them undetected...
With hopes of keeping them unsuspected,
To diminish from a scrutiny for all to see...
Eventually loses an effective appearance.
And a respect kept for deceptive delusions.
Since what is there below the surface emerges,
To expose those who no longer can protect...
A true reflection of what and who they are.
No matter what excuses they use.
Or refuse to identify themselves as the image.
