Human Heart - Poem by Xhantilomzi Rodolo

Tomorrow is a certainty, a day destined to come; it’s just that you might be part of it
Yet we waste time saving up life we will never live
They’ve brainwashed us to strive to acquire objects of material so we could live comfortably
Not considering that the human heart can never have enough.
We spend our whole lives collecting these items then
Suddenly death comes knocking on the sliding glass door of the house you built and hardly lived in.
Then you start question yourself.
“What was I really working towards”? Cause now that dream life of yours has just vanished into you.
Then the remaining never learn,
They too are derailed by their hearts and lost in the forest of lust.
So that is to say it doesn’t help to spend all your life preparing for life you won’t live
Rather live for every moment.
God has a plan for every one of us,
We just have to look closer after all he blessed each of us with our own unique talents,
It’s up to us to use them or lose them.
