I Am Absent Poem by Sylvia Frances Chan

I Am Absent

Rating: 5.0

I Am Absent

I am today absent
that means today I am not present

everywhere around me Putin's drones are sizzling
my telephone keeps ringing and re-ringing

Putin has destroyed a Children's hospital
I am now in Kyiv, and I have seen the destroyed total

this is bizarre, Putin is not normal
a madman not so verbal
but constantly destroying Ukraine
finally total
he is the one to be destroyed,
me thinks

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Destroying a Children's hospital is the worst to overcome, I ever heard about such an occurrence, oh that was done by Israel vs Hama, also a children's hospital. This is most terrible

There is NEVER any justification in destroying children's hospitals. Putin and the likes of him are evil incarnated. Those who claim to be religious are agents of Satan. Sylvia, both your poem and your notes are timely reminders for us to ask God to assist us in fighting evil!
