I Do Not Want... Poem by Kesav Venkat Easwaran

I Do Not Want...

Rating: 5.0

I do not want to please any
Nor, do I need to displease-
It isn't worth a case,
If a smile doesn't fit the place

They circle together and they sing
They dance and celebrate
They could have a reason
To feel elite, to be great

Let them bungle, mess it up
Let them drink out time merry
Let them sprinkle all over
I have no worry

No need for me to jump onto
Those makeshift platform treats
No need to climb upon a stage
That doesn't support my feet
