I Find It Difficult To Not Drink In All That Is You. Poem by William Jackson

I Find It Difficult To Not Drink In All That Is You.

Rating: 5.0

I find it difficult to not drink in
all that is you with my eyes.

I covet you altogether,
selfishly, absolutely,

and I have no intention
of sharing you with anyone.

I would much prefer instead
to steal you away
to savor you for myself.

You are like the magnificent sun,
while I am like a shock of wheat
turned golden and bending
toward your incandescent radiance.

There is so much
I cannot explain.

I only know thoughts of you
hold captive my imagination,

and I find it difficult to not drink in
all of you with my eyes.

Some real high proof passion, makes moonshine like water.

'You are like the magnificent sun, while I am like a shock of wheat turned golden and bending toward your incandescent radiance.' - that is a unique and perfectly selected simile. I find this an adorable, genuine piece. t x

A highly romantic piece of your manliness here William, a passion I feel sure, most women would want a man to feel for them....Men are so possessive when it comes to the woman of their desires. You express it well. Smiling at you, Tai
