I Got It Back
I think
I have got it back,
my past longings,
my shattered dreams,
I've found my muse,
it comes in many hues,
of reds and blues.
I read them through
my searching eyes shut for ages
I bleed them,
I feel them,
they colour my sky.
The much overlooked
fading hues,
The many unseen cuts
which decorate the surface
of my poorly fitted skin,
they dry up the life blood to pigments,
such beauty and pain
that mingles together
creates on a canvas the art
which my soul
so longed to see.
The story of me
written on the pages of
the life I have left
much behind,
The story of me
I can't understand,
in hues of deep shaded purple.
I think I've found my muse.
