I have felt Love
fermenting my nerves, and my blood,
raising my heart's pulse with velocity:
banging the walls of my chest from within.
I have felt Love
furtively,
squeezing my heart in agony:
depleting it of blood;
and with each drop,
imploring for more torment;
for more—and more torture—
in a masochistic imploration
for unification.
I have felt Love
immobilising my being
with profound, hypnotic eyes,
strangulating my breath—
in a sort of sweet-poisonous swoon…
I have felt Love
becoming the addiction of my existence—
I dissolved, and I dissipated in its clenching:
floating deliriously,
in its river of reveries…
I think this one could in my greek verse sound beautiful too.I may try it, if you wish it too, Mihaela.
Thank you, Mr. Galanis. I shall be honoured to have it translated into Greek.
Feelings in love nicely described in words. Emotions flowed freely and words covered the perfectly......100+++ I quote: I have felt Love immobilising my being with profound, hypnotic eyes becoming the addiction of my existence; I dissolved, and I dissipated in its clenching: floating deliriously in its river of reveries…
'I have felt Love' is a brilliant first line, especially when immediately followed by 'fermenting my nerves and my blood, raising my heart's pulse with velocity: banging the walls of my chest from within; ' this poem is a masterpiece, I will return to it with appreciation often in the next few days 10+++
