I have some trouble living.
My wife found out
that her friends were
more affluent than us,
they had posher cars,
bigger houses
in bigger cities,
costlier maids;
engaged drivers
while I drove
our car myself.
Post retirement
I turned to farming
spending more money
than I earned from it,
while others
post retirement
landed jobs
high-paying,
earning more,
had high cover
health insurance,
consulted doctors
charging hefty fees,
spent more days in
Five Star hospitals,
while I spent
more time home
hardly ever visited
doctors and hospitals
never had a disease
worth mentioning in
the upper class society.
Is this a life
worth living?
I sure have
serious trouble
living.
There was every reason
for my poor wife
to be totally disappointed,
disappointed with me.
Great satire on your wife in particular and to every wives in general, there are no exceptions when it comes to dealing with fairer , we all are in the same boat. No matter what, how much you have earned end result is comparison...Cont 1
Koba daridrah? Bishal trushnahi daridrah.srimanscha kah? ? Jasya samasta tosah.. Kim soukhyam? Nityamrogita.ln my opinion u are having no trouble living.Your living is best and let wives not compare things.
"Kim soukhyam? " Is a most pertinent question. Thank you dear poet.
Money isn't the most important thing in life; if you are happy with what you do for a living, you are rich in the things that count.
We need to find richness in everything we have; not in what we have not. And lead a rich life
I enjoyed the wit and wisdom in the remark. Thank you, dear poet
