I Held A Star Poem by David Harris

I Held A Star

Rating: 5.0

I held a star last night
in the palm of my hand.
I wished to the heavens
for peace in every land.
I wished for no wars
in the year to come.
I wished for no killing
to be done by anyone.
I wished for love
between all colours and creeds
and that everyone would treat
everyone as a brother, a sister and a friend.
As to whether my wishes
will come true
that is up to everyone
including me and you.
