I Once Heard In A Church Poem by Ravi Kopra

I Once Heard In A Church

I once heard in a church
—Man and woman God made them—
Thank God.

-Mina Loy from her poem 'Parturition'

*

Man in His image
Woman in his image

Except genitalia
That is obvious

Discrimination
against genitalia!

How racist
How inequality of justice

God is God
Answers no questions

But man does
Extra genitalia X genes must have

Been in the extraneous useless
Left rib of man

So God made women
with XX genes

And that's why certain
people call women useless

Except for making babies.
But God must bear the burden of blame.
