I find it odd,
You can't question God,
As he doesn't do face to face,
These deities we laud,
Are given the nod,
Yet of their presence, there isn't one trace.

Where do they reside?
Do they have pride?
In all honesty, I'd have to say not,
Why do they hide?
As they are our guide,
To believe, or go somewhere that's hot.

Are all of them male?
That is off the scale,
As surely that can't be true,
Are they for sale,
As when we say hail,
We're expected to give what is due.

Religions are many,
Who's right if any,
As to the real one, they all lay claim,
Do they have antennae,
As they do love a penny,
Any god who needs money is lame.

Those they've spawned,
Have a selective wand,
As miracles are few and far between,
When the truth has dawned,
You'll see you've been conned,
As the fact is, they do not intervene.

Our imagination,
Across every nation,
Allows Gods creators to thrive,
Our mental fixation,
Causes such aggravation,

If you doubt the existence of God and miracles, I invite you to read my very brief series of poems titled Soul's Journey Parts I-V. I'd very much like to get your feedback on them. That being said, your excellent poem is very thought-provoking. I enjoyed it very much.

Beautiful. And haters i have another friend. Thats what i been saying all along. But a person is free to believe what they want as long as that belief is not forced upon others to be THE Truth. The truth is what is is.
