If Any Poem by Kewayne Wadley

If Any

Rating: 3.0

Like a mirage, you come swift, Fast, I am Afraid to step forward for fear you'll disappear, I can't help but find my way back each time you leave, hoping that the next time you appear that things'll be the same, Your more like a dream, wrapped smoothly in the moments that rush more quickly than they appear, Fighting the urge to wake from such a dream, But still I fear you'll fade, Although the best things take time, the fear stays the same, Will you still appear the same, Would the moments we've shared still be reminisced as each second we lose in wait, To tease your eyes the same way you've teased mind, To cross your mind as many times as you've crossed mine, Alone in an empty space, as it yearns to be filled by the touch of you and I, But its more than a caress of skin I want you to feel, I could never love another the way I've loved you, I could never find a time nor another second to give the things that I've given you, I want all of you, For as long as it takes, For when i'm with you, inside you, Life brings purpose as your sigh breathes up against me, Soon to be replaced with a piece of me, Like a mirage, you come swift, Fast, I am Afraid to step forward for fear you'll disappear, As my worse fear, To never find you again
