If I Were The Only One
If I were the only poet
left in the world today,
and the writings of all others
were to be swept away,
people would read my stuff and say:
"There are no poets left
in the world today."
Well, yeah, sort of 'no poets left in the world today'. But who needs 'poetS' IF only one is left and THAT ONE is either Belle OR me, Bri? ? ? ? ;) OK, maybe Kim Barney; MAYBE.
I love a poet with a sense of humor--the best ones have it! ! !
