If Passion Be Thy Victor Poem by Captain Cur

If Passion Be Thy Victor

My Queen,
How often have I pulled the links of love
only to find them rusted by disuse,
what harsh penalties does pain devise
for this fugitive in an outlaw's den,
but find satiety in thy words beloved,
bestowed on the privileged and the few
that fans my heated heart's reply,
if passion by thy victor, oppose me then!

Susan, I hear tell Shakespeare will be responding to your words in a new sonnet, titled, It Ain't Worthy Of Me. I think its a pirate adventure. Lots of loving, backstabbing and swordfights. All kidding aside thank you for your delightful comment.
