In High Spirits Poem by Indira Renganathan

In High Spirits

Rating: 3.7

In high spirits
Springing singing
'I am beautiful, I am beautiful'
Self esteemed her pride is

He comes there harsh
Uttering
'Because of me you're beautiful'

Her pride doesn't abate
But singing and dancing
In full bloom of vanity

More stressing he repeats
No, she wouldn't concur

He is more harsh, hot
Reminds her of
A day of thunder-pour
How he cajoled her
Embraced her to feel saved
And how he played
With the clouds
For that thunder-pour
How she liked him in full love

'So' he says
'Because of me, you're beautiful'

No, nothing works with her
She's self proud

Hotter and hottest he grows
Making her unable to spring

Finally spring's gone now
Wind is no more breezing
Summer is up
Hotter air the hottest

Spring's music and dance is short lived. The vanity of spring's beauty is smashed when the hot summer arrives like an avalanche. The Spring is gone and the summer rules. But this too will pass by! A beautiful and philosophical poem Indira Madam......10

I know you are talking about the transition of spring to summer.....! But I have been trying to see your poem from a figurative point of view!

With encouragement and support alone, one can bloom into a flower! Even when one has self worth, it can be destroyed by long standing disapproval and belittling! So let us say positive words of approval and encouragement to all especially to those who are close to us! A beautiful poem with a psychological impact!

Wonderful imagination. The inscription on nature and spring is so thrilling and alive. I found some lines much impressive, let me cite...How he cajoled her / Embraced her to feel saved......How she liked him in full love Beautiful poem.
