In Memoriam.. A Special Woman Poem by Tom Billsborough

In Memoriam.. A Special Woman

Rating: 5.0

You embrace the moon,
My sea of sweet desires,
As I with subtle tongue
In many ways persuade
You soon to rise, a gentle ripple
First, wave on wave
Towards that shore of paradise,
And then increase the pace,
As guided by your sighs,
Till you surrender
To your force of nature,
Unleashing giant waves
That flail the golden sands
Without restraint and with
An awesome power.
This I well remember.
You now embrace the stars
And the universe is yours.
Goodbye for now, my sweet desire.

She generated a lot of passion. Sadly she died in December. The French have a phrase " Elle suit aimer" She knew how to love. That was her.

Tom, it is obvious you knew how to love her well in life and it is obvious that you still do. Women the world over would sigh a heavenly sigh to be loved this well. .A woman could smile through a thousand years of pain if they knew they were loved like this. You deserve this being posted as Poem of the Day for a year. a million starry eyed 10's and a revered spot on my fav list.

She was my one indiscretion in nearly fifty years of marriage. She died in December. I'll send you an e-mail and give you the full story. One day she blurted out that she loved me. I was non-plussed but having more curiosity than my cat, I had to find out why!
