In My School Poem by Unnikrishnan Sivasankara Menon

In My School

Rating: 5.0

I had just turned five
When they put me in school.

My teacher Ayisha
Held my hand to guide me
Through the mesh
of alphabets and numbers.

Today
I was visited by her son.
Speaking with him
I felt her touch on my hand.

And her hand, on my head.

I concur with Rebecca's comment. You are indeed lucky to have a teacher like her. Beautifully crafted and brilliantly expressed write. Succinct yet it strikes right through the heart. s.
