In A Silent Ache Poem by Unnikrishnan Sivasankara Menon

In A Silent Ache

Rating: 5.0

Your love gnaws at my heart
And leaves it in a silent ache.
In a silent ache, my heart bleeds
Your memories ooze out
Into a little nothingness.

I know your condition, dearest,
O' my love, either is not different
Nights have become sleepless
Your choicest food has lost its taste
And hunger has left without a trace.

I can imagine, since we met last
How lean have you become,
Like waning moon in Krishna paksha
And paler than the new moon rising at dawn
With your love for me, in his waxing cresent.

Like waning moon in Krishna paksha.....the kernel of this poignant love poem. Liked the second stanza the most.....5 stars.

Hi Dear Poet, I am at loss of words. What a swell of poetry. Before your poetic comments, my lines are almost worthless. So beautifully done. My heart goes out to you, Sir.
