Anchored on the Rainbow, heedless of the wandering pairs
Hand in Hand, hearts entwined, lost in dreams of love and life,
And without the least botheration of the passing vehicles
Watched the wonder, feasting aesthetic passion
In the daylight liquid silver, in the moonlight melted gold
The super Goldsmith empties his melting crucible
Bursts into drops and droplets, sprinkles and sprays
Fumes and foams, bubbles and froths drawing a veil of fog
Life stumbles on big boulders and falls down the edge
Never to climb back finds pleasure in flowing down
I heard no roar but three maids singing in chorus
May be in praise of Lelawala and the thunder god Heno
Beauty of the sun, the moon and the glittering stars,
Rainbow and the raining clouds, the dawn and the dusk
Percolate into its heart for the beauty seekers to delight
On the rich soul of the nature's gift by Gods and men alike
In the moonlit night I could see vague images of the Maid of Mist
And the Gods of Thunder coming out from the caves behind
Watching the fireworks that illuminate sky and hearts,
The falls and the flowing river, the bridges and the floating boats
Below the bridge, in the pool there lay the boat, in the day
Took me too near the falls to be wet through, I rejoice,
By the loving hug of the Maid of the Mist and being
In her wet arms for a while, a very short while
