I have built a temple
In the deep recesses of my heart,
To which I withdraw
When I don’t want to take part,
In the cacophony around me.
I feel terribly distraught;
Nation is full of angst and fear,
Thrown out of balance, peace is sought.
It’s a place of utter bliss,
Where I feel pure joy.
Ever since, I learnt to do this
My spirits remain buoyed.
The sanctum sanctorum within,
Helps me remain poised.
Connect with myself and Him,
Handle life with great sangfroid.
It’s the only way I know,
To touch joy several times.
Live mindfully and feel alive,
Not get swept by high tides.
i have the same opinion like sandra... mamtaji, we are that, that sweet emptiness within....we are that..........
Mamta, I echo Sandra; s words but also say....take notice but do not hold, as you said so b eautifully 'Live mindfully and feel alive, /Not get swept up with high tides. Lovely poem, I have taken it with me.

yes mamta, there is nothing like connecting to HIM, in the deep of the heart and let happiness trickle in, like honey being poured out to a jar.this temple is yourvery own, and no one can usurp the rights.very well written indeed!
I fully agree with you, mamta. High tides and low tides in life are diversions. The true joy indeed is in the deep recesses of ones heart!
Good revelation good practice and good sharing... a well composed write on your composure techniques, Mamta...10
