Indignant Over " More Than Bad Manners " Poem by Sandra Feldman

Indignant Over " More Than Bad Manners "

Rating: 5.0

So tired of people,
Going overboard
Insulting others!
Today,
Forgetting all their manners!
In a most shocking and ugly way
With the insults, they say,
To one another,
And the putrid language used
Certainly, is as bad of an abuse!
As any other.
NEVER, more than today, was the phrase,
"Silence is golden"
Put to better use!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
The insults and bad language not only cover politics and every form of public life but even in a sight like this one there are fancy Toads
that go around insulting other well intention poets for no other reason than to be disgustingly mean! And it HAS TO STOP!

I was born in the 50s. So what? was about the worst rejoinder then. I am all for free speech without some 'moral' censorship. That said; best keep your mouth closed and be thought a fool, lest open it and remove all doubt. Set the example you wish to be the axiom.

One could not hide under the cloak of Freedom of Speech. Insulting others is not within the purview of this right. Masterly crafted write intelligently penned.10

Thank you, Sandra for this powerful and timely write. I agree with you, we must take a stand through our power of the pen to put a stop to the dastardly acts of people who take pleasure in maligning others.Their objective is to deliberately, cleverly and secretly annoy.

Free speech? , liberalism to the extreamly, our creator holds us accountable for our speech when it violates what is decent, are we above that, I believe in dignity and common manners, those who believe in total free speech should believe in total free actions also, or are they afraid of the physical repercussions?

Such is the degradation of every facet of society, yet it is times like these where those holding dignity are most to be valued!
