it is not the words i say that bother me
but rather the words i do not say,
the thoughts the impulsive side of me
is dying to say which are never said
for the sake of propriety and which
probably could not have been undone
if they had ever been expressed; these
unspoken words never incite anyone to
anger or disbelief, shock or dismay, and
are then the safe harbors in which i remain,
the embarrassment i never have to bear, and
the love that is never expressed to anyone.
I like your poem. So much that I would like to offer a suggestion..and, please forgive me, I'm going to revise your poem. That's how much I love it...to convince you to do it my way. LOLOLOLOL...just kidding. 'it is not the words i say that bother me... but rather the words left unspoken not said implusively. that side of me died for the sake of propriety! i could probably never express these words now so open....' Just a thought. SEE! Every time there's a great poem done..everyone thinks they could do it better... L
It's always difficult to make the right choices but If we're not just out to blame everyone else then I think thats a great opening line.Lots of feeling in this one.Thankyou Love Duncan

Yes, this is what one regrets in days to come... thoughts left unsaid. Very well-written and something to think about. A job well done. : -)
I totally relate to it. But that's what poetry is for, writing down the words that have been bothering you for suuuuuuch a long time. Regards, Julia
Speachless William..I am blown away. I love this beyond words only because it colors my mind so well..who can describe periwinkle in a word? I dig your passion :)
