It's Over Poem by Practicing Poetess

It's Over

Rating: 5.0

Would I do better to forget you?
To not keep hope alive, for naught
And am I only just pretending
There's something special that we've got?

You send mixed messages, confuse me
One day you're hot; then you run cold
You string me right along with sweet words
But then, you're never here to hold

I know enough of love to fathom
One wants the lover close at hand
What good are words, without embraces?
It's time to find another man.
I really need a loving man.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

A candid poem on love and breaking up. It is no good receiving mixed messages all the time. The man does need to be with his girlfriend physically for a true romance. You are right to say, ' It's time to find another man'.
