Just Human Poem by Samanyan Lakshminarayanan

Just Human

Rating: 5.0

The place to start from, to-
eradicate terrorism would be to
be just a human being.
Belonging to a nation
Belonging to a religion
Belonging to a region
Belonging to a language
Belonging to a race- all of these
would only make us less human.

On the one hand - we are
asking our neighbour - to hand over
our terrorist,
on the other - down south india
we are requesting another neighbour
to let go his terrorist
If religion is reigning there
language is reigning here

{if it is only for the common innocent we are reqesting - how did this common innocent become a shield in th first place- when the Marudhu
pandiar brothers were fighting the english, at one point of time they hid in the forest near kalayarkoil - they knew they had an advantage over
the enlish inside the forest bot when the english took over the temple and the town, they surrendered in order to avoid innocent casualities
whom they were fighting for}

Any organisation is born with a cause-
initially the cause reigns-
gradually the cause gets beaten and the organisation reigns.

A nation is a neccessary arrangement-
to administer our deployments.
If the nation was left to reign
If the religion was left to reign
If language, region and race were all left to reign-
Man would only become less human
Humanity should reign-
we will all be JUST HUMANS.

[prose or poem i don't know- just a thought]

'Where the world is not broken up into fragments- by narrow domestic walls' -Rabindranath tagore

so true...we start on idealism and somewhere down the line it vanishes without our knowledge!

a poem or a prose? , , , the message is the same..with very vivid thoughts....a great piece of longing for peace and unity among nations, among mankind...a world beautiful enough to live in regardless of race, religion, language and advocacy... ........i like these lines.....Any organization is born with a cause- initially the cause reigns- gradually the cause gets beaten and the organization reigns. true to your words....IF ONLY...then there's no chaos in this very challenging world...10++++++++

humanity will always find something to fight about but peace starts in the heart, and then nogotiations follow.

There is a saying blood is thicker than water. On the one side the same language people face racial discrimination and are massacred and on another side innocent people are being killed. It is the irony of fate that is ruling both sides. In one respect what you say is cent percent correct.

In the second stanza you raise a very valid question...but you know LN, India is not trying to create war in Sri Lanka...we are only concerned with the welfare of the innocent Tamils there...but up north in Kashmir things are different...and in Mumbai 'ten mad dogs intruded in to a thickly populated city and started biting'...of course one should recognize the motivations behind...we could manage the situation at our best...but we should also feel concerned about our intelligence lapses...good write upholding the importance of universal humanity...10

Your thoughts are well expressed, Humanity must Reign, or we are lost. I choose to keep my humanity. There are many who view a Loving Heart as weakness, they have been desensitized by the brutality. We must Guard our Hearts....10+
