When you are in sorrow;
Let your high emotion
Become calm, soft, and low.

Keeping a small journal;
Jot your own heartache down,
Hurt is not eternal.

Having well enough ink;
Words of love from within
Turn dark day into pink.

Just set pen to paper,
Letting it follow you;
To take you from anguish,
Out of the gray or blue.

Begin to write something
That makes you feel better;
Use your heart, soul, and mind,
