In the night when can't fight
All the pain and distress
For all the lost sorrow…
And nothing is left for
My such damned tomorrow…
I'll cry my heart out
Exquisite.. loved it Richard… but the pain in your words haunt me.
Very happy that you love my poem, my friend. Your words 'but the pain in your words haunt me' truly validates The Kerouac Venture. It proves to me that I'm capturing his essence!
Wonderful! Thank you so much for living so long with this wonderful series
2) My friend, THX so very much for having added this one to your favourites!
Dillip, I am very grateful to God for having given me all those extra years of my life which have enabled me to continue writing this series. It's keeping Kerouac's memory alive!

Brilliant, RIchard. I'll now be revisiting Big Sur. I think for Kerouac the discovery of the darkness might have been prompted by the confrontation with materialism.
Big Sur is a fascinating study of his mental collapse. Ironically, the writing of this book was so therapeutic that it prevented a total mental breakdown. Totally in agreement with your assessment, my friend!
