.killing Takes No Reprieve Poem by Linda Moore

.killing Takes No Reprieve

Rating: 2.9

Singing voices of children full of glee
Stacked high, toys under a Christmas tree
The Family's here, those far and near
Glasses are raised in toast and cheer

Huddled in a darken room children cry
As fire explodes and bullets fly
A Family for their Loved one grieves
For killing and War takes no reprieves

A very moving poem, Linda. Two opposite extremes on what should be a joyous day for all. A very sad fact of life. Best wishes for a great new year. Richard

cleverly ironic...war and killing goes on everyday, no matter if it's Christmas, New Year, or any other holiday...pain and death give no mercy... Leslie Ching

One side cheerful and the other one full of grief and sorrows.....this is the reality of life. Sweet and bitter at the same time. but true no reprieve from war and killing. A very nice poem indeed.Short and terse like...........10/10.
