King Of Kings Poem by PERSIAN NIGHTINGALE

King Of Kings

Rating: 5.0

A new wind blows from the east
Extinguishes the fires of sacked cities
Awakes murdered victims
Wipes the tears
Liberate nations from slavery
Brings us the friendship feast

King of the world
Great king
Legitimate king
King of Babylon, Sumer, Akkad, Anshan…
King of the Land
King of the four rims of the earth
King of kings

Brings
No thought of forcing conquered people into a single mould
God made him so bold
He leaves unchanged the institution of each kingdom
Gives us the true freedom
He has a policy of keeping all gods sweet, just in case
Founder of Persian Empire
Liberator of the Jews
His grace
He promotes a form of religious tolerance
Respects the traditions, customs and religions of the nations
On balance

Each is free to accept it, and if anyone of you reject
I shall never resolve on war!
I just respect

I do follow him

A very powerful and and thought provoking write, my friend. Calls for peace, liberation and tolerance are always in order, but especially in this day and age. Excellent read. Thank you Richard

Persian Nightingale sings songs of peace and freedom to follow the wisdom of the East. A very apt meterical message in the present context with allusion to history.
