Late Night Memories - Poem by Michael P. McParland
As I slowly go about the few chores
tonight while I'm up for a short bit
I think of you my special one so good.
I think of all the happiness to me that you are
to help get me along and give me
the little smile I'm right now capable of.
I think of you and all your beauty
and though I ache for you it makes me feel good too.
I love you Kira and you're everything
I need in this cold and cruel world.
You're all I need to make it beautiful again.
Late night memories of your beautiful face
and beautiful smile and eyes.
Memories of that beautiful woman in whole
that drives my manly senses wild.
Memories of tenderness and loving care.
Memories that invoke and intensify
all those feeling that are still there.
I remember it all my sweet Kira dear
and I focus on the loveliness
because the moments of badness were not the realness.
We just have bad tempers that have gotten away from us
and with all the true loving tenderness
we can and will overcome this.
I love you sweet Kira so truly wonderful,
I want to marry you and have forever in our arms so full of bliss.
Late night thoughts of the Angel I give myself up,
the one who fills me up with light and hope
stopping the great majority of my deep hurts
and over time I know would cure them all.
My sweet precious Angel for whom I want to do the same,
my sweet Kira who I love more than anything.
My sweet Kira who I want to be with for eternity,
you fill up my heart and mind on this night
just like every other my precious gem.
I love you and want you here forever by my side hand in hand.
