Leonard Loves Marianne Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Leonard Loves Marianne

Rating: 4.9

Sweetly he sang about her love
And of the blondeness of her hair
Whispering her name on his lips
He caress his love in a letter
And died in mourning
Three months later

a bittersweet tale of love, in six lines the poem weaves a relationship of two people, its beauty and its tragedy, an enigmatic tale of loves towers and despairs. I really love the fourth line, just the way it reads. Well done LeeAnn!
