Let The Dead Poet Sing Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Let The Dead Poet Sing

Rating: 5.0

O' let the dead poet sing
Leonard, sing us a tune of
Sadness and love
Let the bells of Jerusalem
Ring out for new words
Please, as I pray for you
Tell me, has death been good?
I'll wait for the answer
In the meantime, I will write poems
Of darkness and love
Carrying on yr tradition

Beautiful, LeeAnn. Leonard was a member of the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, and the Rock and Roll Hall of fame, among other honors.

You bring to mind 'living like nothing matters.' Cohen would approve. Fantastic verse, LeeAnn.

Outstanding tribute to one of my all-time favourites. As I'm writing this, I'm wearing a t-shirt with him on it.
