Let Me Be The One - Poem by michael thompson

remove the thorns
from this bed of roses
and close the wound
on a bleeding heart

seize my will
from the clutches of madness
and let ecstasy reign
on a diseased soul

everytime i inhale
your blinding beauty
the rush of temptation
makes it hard to breathe

lets get lost in the craving
and drown in addiction
let me be the one
to pierce the hollow
