Let Words Flow - Not.... Blow
When the sword is out
of the scabbard
and
spoken words leave your mouth
when stars wink
and
clouds sink
then thunder
comes in
the blunder
is done
now there is no fun
spirit has been spat
rats kicked
killed on the mat
you fall and fall
like autumn leaves
on the greens
but then that speaks
of the end
one can never amend
But some guys
speak with sense
many mostly unknowingly
say non -sense
then comes drenching rain
washes everything down the drain
what of PPME
of you all too
nothingremains
life flows out of veins
your red blood like
bloody muddyslushy
rain
again and again
alas life goes in
vain
don't tell lies
Excellent poem. The catchy title had immediately caught mine attention. The sword and rain metaphors are brilliant for this theme. Finally, someone has written a truly meaningful poem about some of the nonsense that's happening on PH. Bravo, Sir!
