Life River
River of life flows calmly ‘mid plains.
Alluvium of grief and joy settle at the bottom.
An intense emptiness stretches upon surface.
Ripples of memory circle out gingerly to create a stir.
It crashes thunderously at the mouth of ocean.
The deep breast of ocean fragments it to disperse,
On the beach, in the air, under the sunshine.
A new rhythmic motion takes place beyond stars.
The agile Cosmic Energy fashions life
From pliable matter again and again.
My petty joy and grief and stretched out emptiness
Feels so small in this vast process
Yet enormously big to drown me in!

A deep thought on life and the fantastic things that may happen to our sweetest memories and good deeds after our river met with the giant ocean. I love the thoughts expressed.

LIFE IS ONE LONG RIVER OF ROMANCE SAYS A POET BUT TELL ME WHY POETS AND poetesses don't sing 4 me nor do they read me NEITHER DO SIR YOU I wonder why I am not a raw eater under the blue sky just say WHY TELL ME MY FANS just WHY

As a river flows the life in any way Deep n calm or be in a spate it may. Ups and downs faced in the life Ought to unravel meaning of life, Enabling to take life in it's stride Like a sthitpradnya and a person refined. Joy and sorrow then lose their meaning When tranquility rules over the evening. A meaningful and thought provoking poem. Thanks for sharing.10 points.
