Life's True Face - Poem by Amanda harding

So innocent as a child
No idea of the world outside
The pain and destruction
So many dreams
Of castles, horses knights in amour
Of the perfect life
But dreams are all they are
A wish the heart makes
Never to come true
Perfect love does not exist
It comes with pain and disappointment
With dreams of death
Just for a release
No matter how much love
Is in your heart
It cannot make everything right
It cannot make them trust
Or believe in a soul so true
Pointless as it may seem
The heart never gives in
It clings to those dreams
But is hell really that bad?
