Limerick: Chris Colabello

It seems that young Chris Colabello
Is a most unfortunate fellow.
He must miss eighty games
And endure many shames.
Oh, how those poor Jays fans will bellow!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Chris Colabello, a first baseman and outfielder who was having a good year for the Toronto Blue Jays, has just been suspended for 80 games by Major League Baseball for testing positive for a PED (Performance-Enhancing Drug) . Plus, if the Jays make the playoffs, he is not eligible to play in the postseason.
The drug was identified as Turinabol, which is the retail name for dexhydrochlormethyltestosterone.
My condolences to my Canadian friend, Wes Vogler, who is a big fan of the Jays.

Chris says It isn't so and I believe it. Either there has been a medical slip or somebody set him up. This guy loves the game too much to jeopardize his chance of playing. His buddies are backing him as well for another review. I think if there was a urine sample showing this it wasn't his. He has been playing with this on his mind for a few weeks and is off to a dreadful start. Appeal so far denied.

I do not follow baseball, but I feel sorry for our friend Wes.
