Limerick: Young Man From Dakota

Rating: 4.9

There was a young man from Dakota
Who moved to nearby Minnesota.
When asked, Is it better?
He said, Well, it's wetter,
But better? Not one small iota.

A really good Limerick with an excellent rhythm. Don't know which is wetter but over here it's much wetter than thirty miles to the East! Sunny at the moment and even sunnier after reading your Limerick. Like the argument about your Geography too! Tom billsborough

My apologies to my friend and fellow poet Hank Beuning, who was born in Minnesota. (And if I offended anyone else from Minnesota or elsewhere, I'm sorry. Just trying to make a rhyme.)

You are right, of course. It's right next door to both states. What was I thinking? Thanks, Kelly. I have changed it from far-off to nearby.
