Living In The Moment - Poem by CAROL HUGHES

TODAY IS A DAY
AMONG MANY
SOME GOOD
SOME NOT
SOME OKAY
BUT WE'RE HERE
ALIVE AT PEET'S
LETTING OURSELVES
SHARE
ENJOYING THE RHYTHMS
OF THE MOMENT
LISTENING TO OTHERS
THEIR WORDS OF WISDOM
FLOWING
THE WARM LOVING AIR
OPENING MUSIC WITHIN
ENCOURAGING INTERACTION
THAT IS PURE AND CARING
TRUTHFUL APPRECIATION
ABOUNDS THAT IS REAL
HEALING AND FOCUSED.

Carol of course you had me at hello when I found out you were just '9'....lol but when I opened this one it carried me back to when I was 17 in my high school class with Ms. Byrd and actually wrote my first and perhaps one of my best poems...check it out 'Moment In The Morn'...your fan forever (Report) Reply

beautiful write, living in the moment is the best way to go, and then later on you can cherish those moments, because ones like that are precious and irreplaceable (Report) Reply

Some exist in the past, some dwell in the future but the great ones maximize the moment because that is all that we really have. Carol this is a poerful perspective.
    Keep excelling.

This is a soothing expression of the enjoyment of life. I feel as if I am there.
At least, I sure am familiar with that pleasure and want to be.
