Lost Eyes - Poem by Asta Pagol
The stars shine in the moonlight sky,
The moon glows bright on the ecstatic eyes.
The couple look deeply with a sigh,
As this is the only night together before they die.
The dark clouds thunder in from afar,
Bringing heartache and sorrow over the starry eyes.
The night is dark with the moon under cover,
Still the couple gaze longingly at each other.
Soon the moon will disappear and no sun will appear,
But at least the eyes shared a night even if no other.
Now the stars shine dim in the midnight sky,
The moon smiles no more without the longing eyes.
The couple now live a life of lies,
As they will never ever be together,
Lots of sighs.
